All baby raptors are covered with a thick down. Use this guide to identify your bird:
Hawks (also falcons) have curved beaks and very strong feet that are completely bare
Owls have curved beaks and strong feet that are completely covered in down.

Vultures have thick reddish or white down. Turkey vultures have a “peep sight” at the nares (nostrils)
